I've been meaning to post a review for this cosplay for quite some time now so here is my in depth look into this cosplay. Hopefully this helps anyone who needs it!
To start off with, I am 5'8 (172cm), weigh 135lbs (61kg), and my cup size is 32A. Using their sizing chart, I went with a size Medium. I have also worn this cosplay multiple times to conventions.
SIZING:
Overall, I'd say the sizing chart is accurate and the fit is great! The shirt sleeves were a good length, the cloak didn't drag on the ground even when I wasn't wearing heeled boots, and nothing felt too loose or tight. The one exception would be the pants. They technically fit on me, but movement is very restricted (I could technically sit but if I tried to do a squat I would be too scared that they would rip). The material for the pants is soft and light, and there are belt loops if you want a tighter fit around the waist. If you have thick thighs though, you may want to just do what I did and wear a pair of grey or black jeans. I will also note that the pants do not have pockets.
The gloves were nice as well but definitely on the smaller side. I love the soft suede material they used and the fabric was just thin enough that I could sort of use a touchscreen device while wearing them. I do have sharp nails though, and with the gloves being as snug as they are, I did have a hole start forming along the seam of one of the fingers. I'm not upset about it though, because you can easily replace them with some black gloves from Amazon (which I later did).
COMFORT:
The materials everything was made out of were super comfy. Nothing scratchy or rough. If you plan to be outside during the warmer months you will definitely get hot, but in an air conditioned con I was actually doing quite well temperature wise. Funnily enough the part that felt the most sweaty for me were the arm guards. They are made out of a pleather like material, so it makes sense that they wouldn't be breathable.
I will say the cloak does get heavy after a while. If you have the fur portion attached, it will make the cloak easier to slip off the shoulders, so I'm greatful for the arm holes because it helped me keep everything in place as I walked around.
OTHER NOTES:
There are a lot of pieces that need to be attached to the clothing. I absolutely love the fact that the pieces are mostly metal and not just plastic. I did have to reference the model pictures a lot to figure out where all the pieces go (to this day I still have one random metal brooch that I haven't found the placement for). To keep things secure for the big fatui pendant on the front with the crystal, I did use superglue on the jumprings. I highly recommend gluing and tightening the connecting jumprings for the crystal piece, because it is quite large and did fall off when I was trying it on at home.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
This cosplay is fantastic and has become one of my favorites to bring to conventions. I felt that the sizing chart is true to size, but if you are really worried, going a size up won't hurt. Happy cosplaying!
I definitely loved the cosplay, it has great attention to detail and the fabric of each piece is of great quality, it is very hot especialy when wearing the cloak, which is very long (XL) but that's the intended effect so i loved it. (I´m 1.82m tall and the cloak barely touched the gorund)
Tips: When assembling it do keep in mind that the "fur" part of the cloak is joined with a black string so have patience finding it between all that blackness.
Keep an eye on the earring, specially when making sudden moves.
This coat was perfect for a con I went to when it was snowing out but it’s admittedly a bit long. I’m 5’6” for reference and it perfectly touches the ground while i’m walking. Still definitely recommend it though! The details were great but I do wish there was a tutorial on how to put all the accessories on because it’s definitely a bit tricky to figure out.
The costume is perfect and I love all the accessories but it’s a very hot costume and tight! The gloves are a little small but nothing to worry about. Worn already three times and no problem with it!
